Babysitting Course
The Alberta Safety Council’s Babysitter’s Course has been used across Western Canada for more than 25 years and is reviewed and revised annually. The course prepares students to guard the health and welfare of children placed in their charge with a focus on the prevention of injury.
Program modules include:
- The role of the babysitter
- Child development
- Positive behaviour management
- Injury prevention in regards to home and outdoor safety
- Fire safety
- Basic first-aid
Ages:12+
Time: 9:30am – 3:30pm
Total time: 6 hours
Cost: $54.60 per student including GST

Home Alone Course
The Home Alone Program is designed to equip youth 10 years of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to create a safe and responsible environment when home alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life
situations, and keep them safer and constructively occupied.
Time: 9:00am-12:00pm
